And yes its for ethanol production I do have a Alcohol Fuel Producer Permit (AFP-LA-15027) that allows me to legally distill ethanol for fuel use.

I'm going to use a Sugar wash, here is my Recipe:

50 Gallon Simple Sugar Wash
50 gallon wash (189 Liters)
14.1% ABV. Should yield 26.9 Liters (7.2 Gallons) of 93% (186 proof) Ethanol.

Ingredients:
100 lbs (1600oz) Sugar (dissolved in hot water)
3 lbs (48oz) Tomato Paste (8 - 6oz Cans)(Yeast Nutrient)
10oz Diammonium Phosphate (DAP)(Yeast Energizer)
1 lb (16oz) Saccharomyces Cerevisiae (Bakers Yeast)

Instructions:
(1)Dissolve 3 lbs of tomato paste in 1 gallons of hot water.
(2)Dissolve 100 pounds of sugar in 20 gallons of hot water stirring until all
of the sugar is dissolved and not gritty.
(3)Pour the dissolved sugar into the fermenter with the tomato paste slury.
(4)Top off the fermenter to 50 gallons with cold water and stir well.
(5)Once the wash has cooled to 80 degrees Fahrenheit or less add 1 lb of
bakers yeast and stir well.
(6)Place lid on fermenter add airlock and allow to ferment until complete.

The beginning Specific Gravity of the wash should be 1.092
The ending Specific Gravity of the wash should be 0.980"

Thanks for the reply Bayou, I was'nt aware that Bakers Yeast would do 14%, is it the addition of the DAP and Tomato past that gives it a higher % ability?

Have Fun.

Yes indeed bakers yeast will do 14% ABV washes but, that is the maximum and pushing the yeast. The tomato paste is a Yeast Nutrient and the DAP keeps the yeast vigorous, yeast need nitrogen but not too much.

Thanks for the yeast info Bayou. I just noticed the berrel stands on either side of your cooker, did you pour those out of concrete on top of those blocks? That's a great idea. It looks like that would also save on gas consumption by relecting and retaining heat while still having enough air flow through the blocks for the burner.

Have Fun.

No there not concrete, there wood. Its actually a piece of treated 2X6 lumber attached to the concrete block with liquid nails adhesive and piece if 1/2 inch plywood screwed to the top of it. The stand is made from scrap material I had available.
