Methanol? More of a myth then anything. Off of cider and sugar there is no way you somehow made methonal. We toss fores cause of the off taste and nasties like arsenic. Methonal could be produced in very small quantities using an all grain where some stalk/husks have made their way into the fermentor or using berries/grapes high in pectin. But never from a sugar wash.

Hey guys, Im doing a run today, 5 gal wash, brown surgar, honey. SG at start without yeast 94. turbo yeast. Today SG 0. Can i get i rough amount of product. I think i shut it down to early. Can you also tell me a math formela to figure that out?

I'm guessing you meant starting sg of 1.94 and a finishing of 1.00. That would be around 13% wash. I don't know a formula i just looked at my hydrometer which has three different scales on it.

From that kind of wash pot stilling i wouldnt expect more then a quart of keepers. How did you do?
