Hi, sorry I am a newbie to distilling, so forgive me if this question sounds strange. I have a question about settling the yeast in the mash. Is it acceptable to use isinglass for sprits? Or is that something left for beers only.

It is! But why worry, just wait a few more days and the yeast will settle out all on their on. I used isinglass in the beginning because I just couldn't wait to get on with the project. Now I just give the brew a week or so after it quits bubbling to settle on its own.

Guys, Brewhaus has a product called clearing agent which is a two part mix, put one in today and the other tomorrow an it does take everything out, settles it, However, waiting another couple days does the same. I did not in using it that it does take a little of the yeast smell out of the batch, but so does waiting...jimbull
