Mr. Anonymous. One thing I might advise you to do is make sure the cooling feed between your column and your condensing sleeve is separated. Nothing used to give me more of a headache than monitoring my coolant flow in a way that it will still cool my sleeve yet not over cool the gasses on the top of my column. Brewhaus used to sell this nifty little hose splitter with a valve attached to one outlet. Using a packed column ,I find copper mesh works better than ceramic beads, and monitoring the valve to keep an ice cool flow to my condenser while maintaining the top of the column at ~78 c you can easily get over 90% ABV from your first run ,my record is 94%,.
After carbon filtering the stuff is so smooth that it makes a wonderful base for flavored vodka.
Takes me roughly 6-7 hours for a 5g barrel though. Would hate to think how long a 15 will take J

My $0.02, hope it helps!
