I have run my wash through a pillow sack and cannot run it all in one run. Will it keep without refrigeration and for how long?

If I'm gonna save my leftovers for more than a day, I just seal the pail and let it sit in the garage. More than a week, in the fridge. More than 10 days, freeze it. It'll be fine. BTDT.

I will be diminishing this batch of wash this weekend. I thought that I would be out of town for a week and thought that I might have to pitch the remaining was for safety. Thanks for getting back with me so fast. This forum is sure to be a great help for us new bee's. I will always ask and not hold a question knowing that there are a great bunch of educated help within a fingers peck on the keyboard. I'll let you know how this batch turns out. Here's to the weekend.

Do not toss it. As long everything is sterile and air tight it will last quite a long time. Months. If it is left on the lees (yeast bed) it may pick up off flavors tough. Rack it off and lock it up.

all I know is that my time and your quick response helped me make this first run w/ my small bucket a success. I wanted to make it a small pot, bout 1 1/2 gal. simple quick and a pint and a half of clear
tasty licker. 2 lb cornmeal, 4 lb sugar and 2 packs yeast. I am using simple small runs to help me find out which ol family recipe tastes best. I just want to record it all for later. I hope to hold on to the shine for some time to compare them all. Kinda like a sampler of rewards, if you will."

"Can anyone tell me how to store lees? And for how long? Here's the deal.....I am making 2 buckets of sweet feed mash, as we speak. Will be ready to run this weekend, but I won't be home to do so (deer hunting season here!). I was going to rack the wash off the lees, and just store it in my carboys for a week or two, until I can run the still. In the meantime, I want to use the spent lees to start my next bash (sour mash?)....what is the best way to preserve it, for 2 to 3 weeks, until I can add backset and do all that other stuff to get the 2nd run going?
