welcome Hokey, I thought it was an interesting read as well. Perhaps if the word "Craft Distilling" is in play then maybe, just maybe our hobby may someday soon become legal.

I'm sure ya'll have seen it but the first pic shows the guy that Tim Smith of the Moonshiners is now working with to go legal. Peter Busch of Busch distributors in Florida is the $$$$ behind Tim and he is buying the rights to Tim's likker, and paying the Limestone Branch distillery to distill Tim's likker. I know it's still just TV but since I know and live down the road from Pete it kinda brings it all back home......

That is pretty cool Heeler, If i'm not mistaken the guy Steve that is helping Tim is Steve Beam from the famous Jim Beam lineage. I don't know if you read the other articles on there about craft distilling and out sourcing a raw distilled spirit to help other distilleries or not but I thought that was interesting as well. So basically for $25,000 you could start your own label and buy raw (clear spirit) from a licensed distillery to bottle and sell as your own. it's basically marketing at that point. I've been out of the loop on bourbon for a while. But i do believe the tv shows and movies have re-kindled the flame of moonshining for many folks.
