This one is so long that I don't know if I have already posted here.
I am from the great state of Alabama near the mid section and just a little off center to the east! I live on a large creek that feeds a nice big lake, in the woods and it don't get better than this.
Great deer hunting, great fishing, squirrels, rabbits, upland birds and usually mild weather! I can look out my window and see the very end of the Appalachian mountain trail!
I have a well with the best water I have ever tasted and should we git this hobby legalized it should make some fine whiskey! This is where I live!

Sounds like heaven to me Juicer! I've hiked a bit of the Appalachian trail up here in the north east. Maybe I'll walk down and say "Hi" sometime. lol

Is that S. East Texas or just East Texas? That could be the difference between being in the piney woods or riding the coast. Me. I riding the coast. Kinneys Rancho should have said it all. First hit on Google. I ain't hiding lol.

Yea RC, this stuff is for real. I skipped right over the hot plate and went straight to the expensive stuff. I'm a good diy-er and I'm gonna do some schooling. Yeppers Texas is a big state with a lot of people. Bound to be 15 or 20 of us on here.

Me too.. Went for a blichmann burner after it took 3+ hours to heat 10 gals with the stock hotplate. (No, I did not bypass the thermostat) but next 'un will be a element w/220 and an RSC.

I figured out where to get 2 10 gallon conical fermenters to my door for 137 bux. It's quickly escalates from there.....

I do understand... I have every testing instrument, and what not in equipment... Took forever to save up enough allowance dollars to get it all, but I made it.. yes, allowance - As you might imagine the missus got wise about my hobby expenditures long ago... after the banjo and guitar purchases..then a mandolin..a dobro..Doghouse Bass...the list goes on..

Before all that was Boats... BreakOutAnotherThousand

I looked for 220v RSCs and only could find 220 volt variacs BIG$$$$$ I elected to run both 110 and 220 to the same 220 volt element having the RSC in series with the 110 volt line I used a mechanical relay activated by a PID with a temperature probe to sense when switch to the controlled lower voltage. The gizmo that our boat captain makes it quite sensible in this application
