"hi rik

trying to convert potato starch to sugars......have read many posts about the enzymes needing 152-158 to convert.....WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO ACCOMPLISH THIS??
i have a clip-on therm that ive tried, but on a gas stove it seems to jump quickly from 150 to 160 and the calibrations are pretty small....please help.."

"Try looking online for a weldless thermometer...basically a bulkhead fitting. All you need to do is drill a hole, attach the weldless bulkhead and screw the thermometer in it.
