i thought i might have read baking soda helps distinguish , when cuts are made . never used before , but if this is true without affecting the outcome , great.

Capt, I mainly do sugar washes for pure spirits. I use soda and salt to help define the cuts. However...NO NOT add this to your fermented product (mash/wash, etc). It will do bad things. Only add soda to a "completed" stripped run that you plan to do a polishing run on. FlyboyTR :)
