"Hello,
I'm trying to choose a location and source of heat for my still.
Propane burner (outside)
versus
Hot plate (inside)
I know the propane burner has temperature control and cost benefits. But, it would have to be used outside and that is not as convenient when it comes to weather and fraction collection, etc.
What do most people choose for distilling, inside or outside?

I use propane in the garage with the door open. Well...halfway that is.

Is there some benefit to using the electric in the garage instead of inside? (smell? vapors?)

"It's not about that at all.
I was on the stove top. Then I moved to the keg.
My wife was just not on board with me completely taking over the kitchen.
So I religated myself to the garage. Better choice for me. I don't have to tip toe around on eggshells out there.
Also, my service (lectric) panel is out there so it made sense to keep my dedicated circut installtion and wiring harness set up to a minimum."
