Never thought of useing them before. I have used walnuts for a schnapps and it was fantastic. If I were going to try those, I think I would toast them, chop in a blender and tincture for several weeks or to taste. Just guessing."

John are you saying that the flavor was detectable??? i guess you would have to let them soak for a few weeks also."

Hi Scotty, I used the Danish Schnapps recipe. Young, tender fully green walnuts. The whole thing cut into quarters, then soaked for months. I have some still soaking that are 3 years old. It gets strong, so you can thin it down with more alchohol to taste. Its also very anti-parasitic. I have given some to my dogs."
