"Howdy,

I've got two washes that have been fermenting for 2-3 weeks. I've put lots of yeast in and worked with it, but the activity has seem done for a while. The specific gravities are 1.00 and 1.01 respectively.

Is it a problem if I distill them now (as opposed to trying something else to get the SG down to below 1.00?)

Thanks,

Steve"

"Did you correct for temp. this time of year?

I would run it if its clear. If the FG hasn't changed in a while its done. Taste it. No sweetness, run it, if its clear. Otherwise rack it and wait till its clear."

"I didn't adjust for temperature (thanks for the reminder!)

The temp in my room is about 65, so it's a bit above the reading I'm getting.

I'll give it a couple more days then taste and clear.

Thanks again!"
