Poisoning is a BIG concern. I ran a batch of old wine through my newly built equipment yesterday. It was 93%. I know the head contains whatever methonol is present. But is it sientifically possible for poisoning? Specificaly, BLINDNESS. The brew i made tasted awfull and I discarded. I am waiting for my sugar yeast,8kg turbo, water mash to be ready.

ALL THE OYZO HAS GENERALLY BEEN AN ANISE LIQUOR BASE THAT ALWAYS TURNS MILKY WHITE WHEN MIXED WITH WATER. WHAT KIND OF OYZO ARE YOU REFFERING TO DREW?

I haven't tried the oyzo. I was just referring to the link/site. I like steeping the apples in some 45% for 3-4 weeks, straining and adding sugar syrup. then age for 3-4 months. the recipie is on that guntheranderson link.

Hmm, I agree. What your saying is very interesting. Quite frankly I don't beleive there is any one real Oyzo. There may be many types. Some are even yello to blue in colour. A colour known as green. I'm going to go and smoke some green. Where's my ho. 'HO, I WANT SOME TEA'
