I started a Rye mash on Saturday and it bubbling away like crazy. This morning, I noticed a "sulfur" type odor coming from the air lock on the fermenter. Is this a normal odor for a rye mash? Thanks for any help! Highlander I should add that I am using Red Star Champagne yeast, which works very well with my corn and sweet feed mashes.

In homebrewing, sulfur smells are common and normal unless they don't go away. http://www.brewboard.com...dex.php?showtopic=109980
