All the photos you've been waiting for. Sorry they're so big. My IT team will be working on it. Does anyone have any advice on keeping the photos small?
This is the amount of oats that were floaters after fermentation stopped.

Ta Da!! My secret racking tool revealed! the top of the turkey boiling pot miraculously fits right atop the oats, allowing just the liquid to come around its edges. Cool, huh?
So this the amount of wash I left. the last time I pushed down too hard and got too much lees.
This is the amount with which I charged the boiler - 30 liters.
This is just before distilling - before I have any backset to use ,does anyone else call it backwash?,, when I have filled it with 3# of dextrose and water to 15 liters.
And that's it so far. Distilled the 30 liters and got 6 liters of distillate after 500ml of heads smelling distillate. Then 9# more of dextrose and backset to 25 liters. Both buckets now happily bubbling away.
