I just got done running a 5 gal batch of ujssm. I used about 4 inches of corn, and 10lbs of sugar. I have ran this before with good results, but this time after i distiled it, it had a bad smell almost like the smell of back set. Any ideas what would have caused it?

Sounds like you were running it too hot this time

"Did you creat the wash --exactly-- the same way this time as the other times.
Maybe a different yeast or diff ferm temps or as dd suggested you might have gotten in a hurry and pushed to hard. All those type things can make a differnece in the end result."
