I just got done running a 5 gal batch of ujssm. I used about 4 inches of corn, and 10lbs of sugar. I have ran this before with good results, but this time after i distiled it, it had a bad smell almost like the smell of back set. Any ideas what would have caused it?

"Did you creat the wash --exactly-- the same way this time as the other times. Maybe a different yeast or diff ferm temps or as dd suggested you might have gotten in a hurry and pushed to hard. All those type things can make a differnece in the end result."

I did everything the same as i have done all the other times that I have done this except the temp in the room that i did my ferment in, but all my other ones came out fine just this one. To me it smelled just like the back set.
